For over two decades Alan served as Senior Vice President and Group Head at Rubenstein Public Relations, the highly regarded New York-based full-service communications agency. Alan has worked on a number of New York City's most prestigious real estate projects, as well as major developments worldwide. In addition, he represented MIPIM, the largest real estate industry event, held every year in Cannes, France.
Prior to joining Rubenstein PR, Alan served as Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Parallel Capital LLC. Taking the company from a corporate startup to 15 offices nationwide, eventually acquired by Fleet Bank, now Bank of America. He also served as Director of Real Estate Investment Banking at Marine Midland Bank, now HSBC.
Early in his career, Alan served in both public and private sector economic development management roles gaining valuable insight into the urban planning process. He continues to volunteer and organize charitable efforts across New York, recently supporting New York EMS workers during the pandemic.
Alan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He holds a Master of Public Administration from New York University and a Master of Science in City Planning from Pratt Institute. He has lectured at the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business and was a member of the adjunct faculty at Rutgers University.
Alan is former board member of Open House New York (OHNY) and was formerly on the the Advisory Board of the New York Institute of Technology's School of Architecture. He is currently a board member of the Ethiopian School Readiness Initiative.
